Write On! (Eclipse Edition!)
In celebration of the coming Great Northern Solar Eclipse in this generative workshop broadly themed to such topics as blotting out, blocking, covering, obscuring, hiding, concealing, veiling, shrouding, darkening, occultation, and other similar concepts and their opposites: light returning, understanding, discovery, clarity, uncovering, setting free, coming out, revealing, and more.  We'll explore redactive poetry and prose alongside the practice of deconstruction and reconstruction in the writing process.

d. ellis phelps’ poems, essays, and visual art have appeared widely online and in print. As an educator, she has taught fine arts in various venues with students of all ages for decades. She is the author of four poetry collections:  of failure & faith, and words gone wild (Kelsay Books, 2023 and 2021), what she holds (Moon Shadow Sanctuary Press, 2020), what holds her (Main Street Rag, 2019) and of the novel Making Room for George (Moon Shadow Sanctuary Press, 2016). She has edited more than a dozen anthologies, including most recently, woodlands: nature, magic, mystery, myth (Moon Shadow Sanctuary Press, 2022).  She is the prize-winning editor of Moon Shadow Sanctuary Press and of the digital journal, fws:  international journal of literature & art.
