The Meadows Center is dedicated to inspiring research, innovation and leadership that ensures clean, abundant water for the environment and all humanity. They fulfill this mission by integrating activities across 4 pillars of action in powerful ways. Their work in each of these pillars begins at Spring Lake – one of the largest artesian springs in the world – and ripples outward across Texas and beyond.

Caleb Henderson is the Dive Coordinator at the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment with Texas State University where he primarily focuses on the stewardship of Spring Lake.  He has been consistently diving for over 5 years at Spring Lake and has also spent time working with the National Park Service at Biscayne National Park in Cultural Resource Management.  He grew up in Victoria, TX, and after 6 years in the U.S. Air Force, he attended Texas State University and decided he like it too much to leave and he has been there ever since.  If Caleb is not at work, you can usually find him hunting, fishing, or perfecting smoked meats on the barbecue pit.

Join us, here at the Library, as Caleb leads a discussion on some of the cool things that take place at Spring Lake and how you can join in on the diving fun!
