Painting the Symbols of Texas (ages 18+) - Using simple watercolor techniques such as "dry brushing", "wet on wet", or "wax resist" to name a few. We will use reference images to sketch and paint subject matter that relates to the great state of Texas. From the nine-banded armadillo to the majestic pecan tree we will have plenty of reference photos to pick from, but feel free to bring your own.
Emily Hohertz, graduated from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin with a Bachelor's degree in 2D Art. While there, Emily also learned the wonderful craft of Ceramics. She has professional experience in Acrylics, Watercolors and Ceramics. Teaching at Inspired Minds Art Center in Buda, TX has encouraged her to branch out and experiment with her style of painting as well as teaching techniques. Emily is continuously learning from the students and other teachers too!
