Jenny Carson and Evan Joyce crossed paths in the fall of 2016 thanks to a few mutual friends who engineer at East Austin’s finest recording studio—fittingly named Sweetheart Studios. They formed Warm Sugar after discovering their mutual love for Doug Kershaw, R.L. Burnside, Nina Simone, Bob Dylan, and many others. They perform as a duo as well as with a full band.
