Melissa Tyree is a gardener and designer based in Dripping Springs, TX. She organically nourishes her half-acre home site with multiple raised vegetable gardens, over a dozen different fruit tree varieties and native/adapted plants. Her most influential garden experience is spending her weekends growing up on a 500 acre Christmas tree farm in Northeast Texas and watching her parents convert to organic practices. Melissa holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a Construction Management specialty from Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas. As a Hays County Texas Master Gardener, she enjoys helping others discover the joy of raising their own food and enhancing their lives through growing plants in harmony with nature
