Adriana Reza is the Education Coordinator with the Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve. She has recently started this position in March 2021. Adriana has a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi focusing on marine science and chemistry and a Masters of Arts in Conservation Education through George Mason University. She has been an educator for 17 years starting her career in 2005 at the Texas State Aquarium. When she is not educating about the importance of conservation and marine science topics she enjoys camping and riding bikes with her two kids.

Nurdles is a new word to most people, but this plastic has been around for a long time. During this presentation we will examine what is a nurdle, how it gets into the environment and why it is becoming a big problem. Nurdle Patrol is a citizen science program that was started in 2018 as a direct result of a large nurdle spill along the Texas coast. Find out how you can get involved and contribute to the real-time data that is collected all over the world!
