Join us again in welcoming guitarist Robert Harding!

In this performance, Robert will be playing a program of music that is dynamic and varied in mood and timbres. Moreno Torroba’s lyrical set of pieces inspired by Spanish castles will be heard. Transcriptions of Spanish piano (Albeniz’s Mallorca), and piano and voice (Granados’ La Maja de Goya) complete the “Spanish” portion of the program. Ending the afternoon’s recital will be music from South America written by virtuoso guitarists Antonio Lauro (4 Valses) and Augustin Barrios (The Cathedral). 

 Additionally, Robert will be giving a brief historical context of each of the pieces as well as a slideshow of the Spanish castles that inspired them as the corresponding pieces are performed.
