Battle of the Books is a book trivia competition in which teams of readers (2-4 per team) answer trivia questions based on the reading list. The answer is always the title of the book. Points are earned for knowing the title with extra points awarded for also knowing the author's name.

There are two book lists, A and B, of books. No age range has been set for either list, reading and interest level ranges are noted. Please base your competition entry on the books in a particular list. Select books that are most suitable for your interests, reading ability, and how quickly you read.  Please register the Battle competitors only, not accompanying family members or friends. Remember, all team members must register individually.

Book Length:  64 – 238 pages        Reading Level Range: 2.9 – 5.6  (most 3-4 grade)
Five copies of each book are ready for Battle members to borrow directly from the Children's Room staff, they are not part of the general collection. A 2-week checkout period is set for these books. Please return them after reading, you do not have to wait for the due date!    You may register for Battle beginning on May 1 and Battle Books are also available for check out beginning on May 1. Registration will end on June 15.
