Join us at the library for an inspirational talk from local author Cinda Brooks as she discusses her book Heartprints of Africa and encourages you to understand the power of your own personal story.

In Heartprints of Africa, Cinda tells of her trip to Northern Uganda to visit her identical twin sister, Linda. What should have been a relaxing vacation turned into a terrifying escape from artillery and gunfire.

Cinda is retired from her career as a nurse and Lieutenant instructor for the Texas Game Wardens. She currently pursues her mission to unleash the champion in people through inspirational speaking, competitive sports, and writing. She is a gold medalist in the World Police & Fire Games and has recently been inducted in the WPFG Hall of Fame.
